You have trouble falling asleep? Your children are hyperactive playing with the tablet before bedtime?
Do you use your smartphone or tablet late evening? Twilight may be a solution for you!
Recent research suggests that exposure to the blue light before bed can distort your natural (circadian) rhythm and cause inability to fall asleep.

The cause is the photoreceptor in your eyes, called melanopsin. This receptor is sensitive to a narrow band of blue light in the 460-480nm range that can suppress the production of melatonin - a hormone responsible for your healthy sleep-wake cycles.

In experimental scientific studies, it was shown that the average person reading on a tablet or smart phone for a couple of hours before bedtime can find their delayed sleep about an hour.

The Twilight application shields your device adapt to the time of day. It filters the stream of blue light emitted from your phone or tablet after sunset and protects your eyes with a mild and pleasant red filter. The intensity of the filter is easily adjusted to the cycle of the sun based on your sunset and sunrise local time.

1) bed reading: Twilight is nicer on the eyes for night reading. Especially as it is able to reduce the backlight of the well below the capacity of backligt controls display on your screen

2) AMOLED screens: We tested Twilight on an AMOLED display for 2.5 years with no sign of fatigue or over-combustion. If Twilight properly configured causes less light emission (allowing dimming) with more equal distribution of light (the dark areas of the screen such that the status bar is tinted). This can actually increase your life AMOLED screen.
