The 5 important new features in iOS9 for your iPhone and iPad

1. SIRI and Spotlight
Siri is Apple's virtual assistant, but with iOS 9 becomes dominant role, like that of Spotlight, the search engine for the iPhone. With Siri, we can now take a much more human language, while Spotlight will provide us with suggestions of applications, contacts (who to call, messages or video conferencing) or news. Research will also conduct in our mail and if we give more specific data, such as a particular location, places to visit will be posted through maps.

2. Plans and News
News is a new application, much in the spirit of Flipboard. Just like Apple Music, you will have available all the information that really interests you. For example, if you are a big fan of sports news, you will find complete information on your favorite teams, provided by different sources. As for Apple Music, News refine its suggestions when the app will have learned to better understand your tastes. In the beta, we tested the US version of News and the results were frankly impressed us.Plans continue to improve and, in its latest version, the app is more like Google Maps or Foursquare what today. Classified by type of activity, Diner, Travel, Nightlife, etc., we easily find the places to visit nearby. It remains to refine the movement function for the iPhone replaces the GPS in our car. This feature has made progress, it is true, but on this map Google Maps still has a good head start.

3. Drive and iCloud Find My Friends
iCloud Drive has always been there, but not as a separate app. This is probably one of the biggest differences from iCloud iOS 8. Drive will now allow us to directly access the content stored in the cloud of Apple. On the other hand, the Find my friends, optional until now, imposes on the screen of the iOS 9. Its function? As the name suggests, you will know at any time where your friends are, at least those of them who have authorized you to follow the trace.

4. Space in the iPhone and optimization of the battery
Apple has made great efforts to optimize the space occupied by the operating system, almost reducing it to half. As for the battery, our tests on the beta over the last few weeks have shown that it actually lasts longer. However difficult to quantify this gain.

5. Multitasking on the iPad, yes, but ...

One of the most discussed aspects is undoubtedly the version of iOS for iPad 9. True multitasking actually works at any time, but only in regard to Apple programs: Clock, Safari, Find My Friends, Calendar, etc. Another downside: Apple, once again, provided this feature the last-born of the iPad. In other words, we will have access to this famous multitasking if you own an iPad Air 2.
