Microsoft wants to help the process to migrate to Windows 10

110 million machines are under Windows 10 to date. That's good, but Microsoft wants to go even further. The group announces new initiatives to invite users running Windows 7 or Windows 8 to migrate to Windows 10.The reservation system is reviewed. When a user chooses this option, the download will start automatically. Microsoft has changed the rules because Windows 10 is available since the end of July, no need to make installations in waves.
Other changes, Microsoft will show Windows 10 as an optional update in Windows Update. It is a way to push users to check the box to start the installation. In 2016, the "optional" status will become "registered". In all cases, the user must confirm the installation before it starts.
Microsoft also plans to update its Media Creation Tool to easily allow the installation of Windows 10 from a DVD or USB stick. This will be especially useful for professionals when multiple computers need to be updated.
